The international guests had great experience at Villa Maly. Here are top 10 TripAdvisor Reviews for one of Laos' best boutique hotel in Luang Prabang.
1. “2 nights only….”
….and only for Business – looking forward to come back for a more relaxing time. Had a great stay – and knowing the area. I also know that this is not always easy to provide during the low season. Rooms are marvelous, very nice interior, lovely bathroom (for those who don’t mind quite open spaces). The resort has a very nice garden area and is perfectly located in Luang Prabang for all kind of visits.

2. “Chilling out in laid back Luang Prabang ”
The hotel was a lovely old colonial building near to the night markets and river. The hotel arranged the airport transfer which didn't arrive so after a short wait we got a taxi for about 5 dollars so no big problems, the hotel foyer and grounds were lovely, check in quick our room was on the first floor, it had a four poster bed and decorated in a French colonial style, which was very comfortable with home-made cookies left in the room each day. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate, we had one evening meal served alfresco by the pool which was lovely eating under the stars. The main town was five minute walk away, where all the temples, bars and restaurants are.

3. “Friendly and peaceful hotel”
I really like this hotel and this was the second time I stayed in here. The location is good within walking distance to/from the night market and there are many local restaurants and coffee shops along the way.The hotel buildings are surrounded with trees make me feel close to the nature. The swimming pool and it's area is particularly relaxing spot of this hotel. The bar is next to the pool so it's easy to order some drinks while relaxing near the pool. However, I wished the hotel has bicycles available for guests to borrow or hire. I would be more convenient for a quick journey to the night market. The staff and the manager are really nice, helpful and friendly. It was really comfortable to stay at this hotel (Villa Maly).

4. “Charming oasis in Luang Prabang”
We loved staying here (4 nights). It is a beautiful & charming place. The gardens are lush and tropical. Our rooms were right next to the pool. The staff were extremely helpful. Many people comment on the bathrooms but I found them quite charming. The rooms are very quaint with a French feel. Shutters on the windows and antique furniture. Fresh home made cookies were left in our room every day.

5. “Felt like staying in a friend’s home”
We spent 6 days there – which is perhaps longer than most guests stay – and could have easily prolonged for another week. We absolutely loved the relaxed atmosphere of Luang Prabang and the boutique hotel added to the experience. It felt personal and a bit like a home away from home. The entrance and the lobby are beautiful, the rooms very nice Location is ideal, quiet, friendly staff, great breakfast. We can very warmly recommend it, would stay there again.

6. “Nice boutique hotel with friendly staff”
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. Service was excellent and location was within walking distance of downtown, but not too close to downtown which was nice to avoid the noise. Breakfast buffet had a slight French twist to it and was very tasty and every night they left two delicious cookies in our room!

7. “A Lot of charm with great comfort to really enjoy Luang Prabang uniqueness”
Charm, great taste in decoration , good service and family atmosphere. The perfect place to avail of this singular city, picturing a commercial trade post in past French colonial territories. Luang Prabang is worth a 3 days' stay, as there is not only a lot to see but also a lot to feel.

8. “A quiet place in a wonderful environment”
I spent 4 nights in Villa Maly and can only warmly recommend it. Everything was perfect and I enjoyed every minute of it. Rooms are very nice, service is good and the location ideal: in town but away from traffic and noise. Will definitely go back.

Stayed here recently on a trip in Asia and had a wonderful few days. It is nicely situated near restaurants and a quick walk to the river. There is also a night market within walking distance. There are only a few rooms I think around thirty surrounding a very nice swimming pool. The main building is colonial and the rooms we had were beautiful full of old world charm. The manager was charming French but her English was excellent. It is a little oasis from the the chaos of Luang Prabang. Would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

10. “Good hotel with charm”
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights during our tour of Indo China. It is a good hotel with just 33 rooms and was originally a 1920s French colonial house which has been restored. The charming lady who runs guest relations and the hotel is French and speaks excellent English. Located just on the edge of Luang Prabang, you can walk to the main street in the town in 10 minutes but there are usually a couple of Tuk Tuks waiting outside if you don’t want to walk…Overall you can be sure of a pleasant stay in this hotel which is very conveniently located for Luang Prabang.
